For a short time it appeared as through the Lady Knights would tame the Mustangs from Oologah Friday evening at Cushing.
Henryetta had two runs in the first inning on a single RBI scoring Jaylynn Joslin then Bailee Worlow stole home to put Henryetta ahead 2-0.
Oologah narrowed that down with a single run in the bottom of the first and tied it up with an RBI in the bottom of the second. Still in that same frame, a Mustang home run to center brought in the five runs that would be on the board at the end of the game.
Henryetta tried to come back in the third when Avery Miller nailed a trip to left scoring Joslin. Kasedi Gobin singled to center scoring Miller but the lady Knights could not add any more runs to the board.
Henryetta would go through the top of the fourth in the timed contest with only Skylar Morris getting on base but stranded after a strikeout and two hits back to the Oologah pitcher.
