Betty L. Anderson, a longtime resident of the Okmulgee-Morris area, died Aug. 18, 2019 in Okmulgee at the age of 85. She was born Jan. 8, 1934 in Blanchard to John Wesley Graham and Verna Fussell Graham.
Betty worked as a social worker with Department of Human Services for 22 years. Previously she worked as a cook for the school and Cattleman's Restaurant, also at Reynold's Lumber and Hardware and Randy's Frozen Food. She and Russell were members of the United Pentecostal Church in Morris for many years where she taught Sunday School as well as a faithful member. For the last several years they were members of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Tulsa.
She is preceded in death by her husband Russell, her parents as well as 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four children: Allen Anderson and wife Judy of Broken Arrow, Janice Hurt and husband Jimmy of Morris, Royce Ann Henderson and husband David of Kennett, Missouri and Doug Anderson and wife Brenda of Jenks; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Viewing for Betty will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29 at Integrity Funeral Service with family present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at the Morris United Pentecostal Church, 608 W. Ozark, Morris, Oklahoma. Rev. Gary Howard and Rev. David Henderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Hurt, Michael Hurt, Keith Hurt, Shane Henderson, Todd Henderson, Ryan Anderson, Jared Anderson and Kyle Anderson.
