The Lady Knights kept their perfect district record intact Monday when they shut out Spiro 3-0 for the second time.
Henryetta stands at 5-0 in district and the Lady Knights have taken 13 wins against two losses so far this fastpitch season.
Those losses came from Stroud in the second game of the year and Oologah at the Cushing tournament.
The only other undefeated team in the district is Beggs. Henryetta will be facing the Lady Demons in back to back games Sept. 23 and 24. Beggs has won 11 games and lost five this month.
Playing at Spiro on one of the hottest days of the season, the Lady Knights drew first blood when Brooklyn Baughman singled driving in Kasedi Gobin and Autumn Blackbear in the third inning. Blackbear would add the third mark on the board when she drilled a home run to left in the fifth.
Sophomore Avery Miller pitched all seven innings giving up only one hit and striking out seven Spiro batters. So far this season she has allowed 50 hits but struck out 83 opposing batters.
Henryetta will be hosting Vian Thursday afternoon then going to Okmulgee next Tuesday. Vian is third in their district while Okmulgee is still looking for that first district win.
