Four first place victories helped propel the Henryetta Lady Knights to a regional championship Saturday at Luther.
Henryetta amassed 130 team points well ahead of second place Prague.
The HHS boys were not as fortunate, ending the day in seventh place overall.
Colton Green captured first for the boys in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs while Mason martin was second in the 800 run.
The list of first place winners for the girls included Montgomery Notley with a school record discus throw of 121 feet seven inches. She also was first in the shot put with a 33 foot, one and a half inch throw. Her sister, Skyla was fifth in discus and eighth in shot.
Also capturing first for Henryetta girls during the day were Daisy VanMeter in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs and the girls 3200 meter relay team of Jessica Fairres, Kamarie Wallace, Mya Powders and Daisy VanMeter.
The girls 1600 meter relay team of Kamarie and Mykaela Wallace, Fairres and Shelby Bullard came in third.
For the first time since 2007, Henryetta will have a pole vaulter in the girls contest. First-time HHS vaulter Brittany Elam cleared eight feet that was good for fourth place. The last time Henryetta had a state competitor was when Jackie Watkins was a member of the team. She set a nine foot school vault record.
HHS senior Mykaela Wallace will be in the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles at state. She placed second in both events at the regional meet.
Mya Powders was second in the girls 3200 meter run.
