The roster of top-notch rodeo talent from the Henryetta area keeps growing each year.
Thursday evening the Henryetta chamber of commerce recognized three new world champions as well as two hall of fame inductees and a pair of finals qualifiers.
For a Henryetta family, the Indian National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas had double meaning. Howard Edmundson, who has been a staple of rodeo for man years, was inducted into the Hall of Fame. At the same rodeo, his son, Bryton, captured the steer wrestling world champion title.
A reception at The Breifcase in Henryetta honored the father and son as well as Jayco Roper, Oktaha, the INFR bareback world champion, Quinton Inman, Ketchum, tie-down roping world champ and INFR qualifiers Ashley Withrow and Tieler Cummings.
Also honored was Roy Maddenb who was inducted into the Military Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Each of the honorees were presented with special plaques by the chamber recognizing their accomplishments.
Following that presentation and reception, the rodeo performers spent a few minutes visiting with Living Legends Rodeo committee chairman Mark Hiatt.
