The annual Hanging of the Green ceremony marked the start of the Christmas season at Henryetta high school this week.
Representatives from the high school classes and organizations placed wreaths and lighted candles on the stage accompanied by holiday music from the choir and band.
As part of the Henryetta ceremony, a poem written by Matthew Valle, a former HHS student, was read.
