The March timeline for construction of the Quik Trip store in Henryetta is still good according to Henryetta Economic Development Authority member and city mayor Jennifer Munholland.
She was speaking at the HEDA meeting Monday morning.
Munholland said Quik Trip is expected to start working on the road behind the location on the east side to town to make it capable to hold semi-trailer traffic.
Owners of the existing motel on the east side of town are under contract until March. At that time the site will be cleared.
Final invoices for the sewer project on the west side of Henryetta totaling $138,190 were approved by HEDA members. Munholland said that project, “went off without a hitch,” and is ready for businesses and property owners to hook up to it.
She said a couple of motels are entertaining ideas of locating there but there, “is nothing specific.”
