Everett Leroy Blake Jr., a resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 11, 2020 in Okmulgee at the age of 68. He was born April 17, 1951 in Henryetta to Everett Leroy Blake Sr and Norma (Smock) Blake. Everett was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the US Army. He was a welder by trade.
His parents, two sisters: Norma Jean Yingling, Beverly Ann Graham and his brother Hubert Blake, precede him in death.
He is survived by his daughters; Christie Perez of Okmulgee and Amber Hubele of Okmulgee; grandchildren: Bailey Stout, Sonia Perez, Jose Perez, Gracie Thrailkill,and Javon Blake; great grandson: Layton Dunn; brother: William “Chip” Blake of Henryetta; sisters: Susan and husband Tommy Mosco of Uvalde,Tex., Karen Hunt of Weleetka, Teresa and husband Melton King of Prue and Kathy Blake of Okmulgee; mother of His children: Rita Blake of Okmulgee; several nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson community with Military honors. Services are under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
