The Okemah Chapter enjoyed a Christmas Party Dec. 10, 2019, at Pepino’s Restaurant in Okemah. After ordering from the lunch menu, they were treated with special desserts brought by the hostesses Ann Jackson, Becky Hold, and Velda Bradley.
A special fun game called Heads or Tails was presented to the group by member Dorothy Burden and was won by three lucky members. A silent auction was held as a fund raiser and the sale of the many wonderful items enriched the treasury by $84. Members also brought gifts for the veterans in the Veteran’s Hospital in Muskogee. darA whole carload of much needed items was delivered to the veterans and was very much appreciated. Members dressed comfortably in their tacky Christmas clothes with the prize for the most unique and funniest went to Velda Jo Bradley with her wide brimmed red hat dangling with red Christmas bulbs and her unique Christmas sweater.
Becky Hold led the group in some Christmas songs. A merry time was had by all and after all the fun was over, the members left after leaving many good wishes for all.
Those enjoying the festivities were Jean Yokley, June Yahola, Lucretia Harkey, Ann Jackson, Velda Bradley, Mary June Cashman, Theo Crawley, April Jorgensen, Sheldon Starr, Patricia Funchess, Dorothy Burden, and Becky Hold
