Dr. Zachariah Jessic Anderson, M.D., a resident of Morris, died Jan. 17, 2020 in Okmulgee at the age of 48. Zac was born Jan. 17, 1972 to Harry Anderson and Augusta (Barnett) Anderson.
Zac grew up in the Holdenville and Eufaula areas where he attended school and participated sports and played on the school football team. After his high school graduation, he later attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine where he graduated in 1999. Zac became an MD and began practicing family medicine. He also held an MPH (Master of Public Health) Degree. He was the owner/founder and president of Pinnacle Health Care Solutions in Okmulgee.
Zac is survived by his wife Shanna Anderson of Morris; his parents, Rev. Harry Anderson and Augusta Anderson; seven children: Austin Lawrence of Browning, MT, Nathan Anderson of Morris, Isaiah Anderson of Morris, Tarin Anderson of Morris, Hayden Anderson of Morris, Eco Letky Anderson of Morris, and Yaniah LaSarge of Okmulgee; two step-sons: Tylor Kinslow and Seth Kinslow of Morris; a grandson, Augustus Jessic Anderson of Oklahoma City; special friends and mothers of his children, Christina Franceshini-Anderson and Terrie Anderson; a brother, Herod “Mekko” Anderson and wife Luanna of Morris; and two sisters, Angela Martin and husband Ted of Wetumka and Sarah Anderson of Shawnee; several nieces and nephews, other extended family, and many good friends.
Viewing for Zac will be held at Integrity Funeral Service Monday, Jan. 20, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m.
A wake service for Zac will be held Tuesday evening, Jan. 21, 2020 at Sand Creek Baptist Church in Wetumka from 8 to 10 p.m.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the same church and under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Zac will be laid to rest at Sand Creek Cemetery in Wetumka immediately follow the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Austin Lawrence, Isaiah Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Tarin Anderson, Phillip Wise-Talamasey, Kay Walton, and Chris Larkin. Honorary bearers will be Echo Anderson, Hayden Anderson, Mekko Kalinich, Ted Martin, and Steven Barnett.
The family has designated Sand Creek Baptist Church of Wetumka as appropriate for memorial contributions.
