The Henryetta Middle School softball team ran into trouble in the finals and had to settle for second place at their tournament this past Friday.hms trophy
Henryetta opened with a 17-2 win over Preston, followed it up winning 7-4 against Haskell then blanking Twin Hills 19-0. The semifinals saw the HMS girls win their second game against Haskell 5-2 but Muskogee proved difficult with Henryetta losing 12-5 in the finals.
“We hit well all day until our last game,” said coach Ryan Swallow. During the day-long contest series, Shelby Kilhoffer posted two home runs and Winter Deaver had one.
Making up the HMS team are: Shelby Kilhoffer, Kinley Miller, Mckayla Greenhaw, Winter Beaver, Shannon Corkerin, Jasmine Cantrell, Graci Lollis, Nevaeh Hernandez, Victoria Hill, Addison Chavezm Gracee Rogers, Aubrey Hill, Camrynn Watkins, Miley Rosner, Erin Chew and Rachel Jordan.
