Monday was one the HHS Lady Knights will be pleased with for a long time.
After traveling to Warner, the Lady Knights posted big back-to-back wins over the Warner Bulldogs and McAlester Lady Buffaloes with a total of 53 runs and giving up only two.
Emily Smith threw a shutout against Warner in that 26-0 win. Senior Autumn Blackbear went two for two at the plate with a grand slam homer in the first then solo home runs in both the first and second innings.
It only took Henryetta three innings for that win with Smith giving up one hut and posting four strikeouts.
All told, the Lady Knights had 16 hits during the game.
The Lady Buffaloes also felt the might of the HHS girls with Henryetta posting a dozen runs in the first inning and another 15 in the second for the 27-2 victory.
The first inning saw Henryetta up by eight when Avery Miller got her grand slam home run bringing in Smith, Kasedi Gobin and Blackbear.
A three-run homer by Gobin, solo homer by Miller and triple bagger that scored three runs were the highlights of the second inning.
Smith did the pitching duties for the Lady Knights in that game allowing two runs on five hits and striking out one.
