Kade Baylor Britt-Pannell a resident of Henryetta, died May 4, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 17. He was born Jan. 30, 2003 in Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by his biological father, Kenny Britt, his mother, Kathy Pannell, and grandmother, Rose Barnett.
Kade is survived by his father, Robert Pannell of the home; three sisters: Jessica Britt-Bowden of Keota, Phoenix Britt and Gryphon Britt, both of Henryetta; biological mother, Leyah Britt of Henryetta; grandfather, Bob Barnett of Henryetta; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
In memory of Kade, the Grace Science Foundation wanted to add that Kade was a great help in the study of his genetic disorder (NGLY-1deficiency) in an effort to help all the other children with this diagnosis. The foundation stated, “ Thank-You Kade for your Heroic Fight and for helping all the children and families.” Matt Wilsey, President and CEO for the foundation is doing a memorial tribute to Kade on their world wide web. Kade was the only child from Oklahoma with this rare genetic disorder with only 60 children world wide. They believe that one day they will be able to save millions of babies by the study of these kids.
Funeral services will he held Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Integrity Chapel with Ft. Joshua Litwick, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Britt, Phillip Newton, Loren Sweet, Tim Putman, and Austin Britt.
