Ralph David Thompson, a lifetime resident of Henryetta, died July 14, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 86. He was born March 25, 1934 in Henryetta, to Albert Thompson and Etta (Griswold) Thompson Timmons. He married Frances Darlene Wade Dec. 27, 1952.
He was a lifelong member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Church. Ralph worked at PPG, Kelco and Crosby Real Estate.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Etta Timmons, father, Albert Thompson, sons, David Thompson and Terence Thompson, a daughter-in-law, Janice Thompson, a great grandson, Avery Moore and his father and mother-in-laws, Ted and Ida Bell Wade.
Ralph is survived by his wife Frances of the home; daughters, Denise Speer of Wichita, Kans., and Susie Dunn and husband Phil of Houston, Tex.; daughters-in-law, Earlene Thompson and Michele Thompson; grandchildren: Darian Speer and wife Amy, David Thompson and wife Amber, Michael Thompson and wife Billie, Jennifer Clopton and husband Eric, Rachel Speer and wife Michelle, Ashlee Moss and husband Brian, Michael Burnash and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Frieda Van Zant, of Arizona; sister-in-law, Geraldine Mordecai of Henryetta; also by a numerous nieces and nephews, a host of friends, other relatives and church family and his loving dog, April.
Viewing for Ralph will be Thursday from noon until 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dewar United Pentecostal Church, c/o P.O. Box 6, Dewar, OK 74431.
Private graveside services will be held at Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. The casket will remain closed at the cemetery. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
