semi fire

A mechanical problem on a semi trailer resulted in a fire that closed part of Interstate 40 west of Henryetta for bout two hours Sunday morning.
The semi was going eastbound when an axle broke resulting in a blaze that caught the trailer portion of the rig on fire. The trailer broke free from the truck and the fire destoryed a load of produce.
Firemen from Henryetta, Plainview and Dewar were on hand to extinguish the fire but traffic was backed up almost to the Pharoah exit.
About the time firemen were able to fishing with that fire, they were called to the Clearview exit where another semi was reported burning. That fire started in the refrigerated part of the trailer and destoryed the load of produce as well as the entire truck and trailer.
No injuries were reported as a result of either accident.
