The Lady Knights started off their regular fast pitch season in grand style Monday night with a 15-0 win over Okmulgee.
Henryetta jumped into an early lead with five runs in the first inning then sealed the game with nine more in the second and capped it off with a run-rule winning run in the third.
Katelyn Dwiggins was responsible for three of those runs on RBIs with Avery Miller and Kasedi Gobin getting two each. Mckayla Greenhaw had one RBI on the night.
Dwiggins put three runs of her own on the board with Jaylyn Joslin, Miller, Skylar Morris and Kinley Miller each providing two. Shannon Corkerin, Gobin, Shelby Kilhoffer and Lexi Lollis each crossed the plate once during the short contest.
HHS junior Avery Miller did the pitching honors for the Lady Knights. In the three innings she struck out eight Okmulgee batters and gave up no hits. The Lady Knights host Keifer Tuesday then go to Broken Arrow for a two-day tournament.
