With one more month remaining in 2020, Henryetta’s sales tax collections are on track to set another record.
November’s check to Henryetta from the state amounted to $249,263, a $13,823 increase from a year ago and the sixth consecutive month with an increase. Already this year the city has received $2,718,604 in sales tax monies.
Similar sales tax increases were recorded in Dewar, Okmulgee, Beggs, Okemah, Checotah and Dustin.
Okmulgee picked up a check for $576,410, Beggs received $41,338, Checotah $392,204, Dewar received $12,615 which was a gain over $10,471 last year and Dustin $8,905.
Morris received $21,767, a drop of nearly $2,000 while Weleekta received $14,781 compared to $17,669 a year ago.
Statewide, the November distribution of $158,558,220 reflected an increase of $2,682,742 from the $155,875,478 sent out a year ago.
