emergency managementA Gator all-terrain vehicle has been taken from the Okmulgee County Emergency Management office in Okmulgee sometime early this week.
According to David Kennedy, the vehicle had been obtained as a surplus military item several years ago and has been used by OEM a number of times.
“It has played a valuable role in assisting first responders through out the county as well as throughout the region in search and rescue missions,” He said. “It was worth its weight in gold for us when it came to getting into those places were we couldn’t get other vehicles.
The Gator has been used to help moved injured people from remote areas and get them to hospitals for treatment.
Kennedy said anyone who has seen the vehicle or has information about the theft should the Okmulgee County Sheriffs Office 918-756-4311 or the tip line at 918-516-8332.
