Betty Louise (Bowdler) Brittain, a resident of Blanchard, died Jan. 30, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 88. She was born March 31, 1932 in Henryetta to Tom and Violet (O') Bowdler. She married the love of her life, Dwane Brittain July 23, 1951 in Dewar. She worked as a personal assistant at the Houston Community College for many years.
She was a member of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Violet Bowdler, her husband, Dwane Brittain, siblings, John, Tommy, Julie Frances, Marguerite, Mildred May, Georgia, Buddy, Jessie, Viola and Mildred.
Betty is survived by three children: Virginia Schultz and husband Randy of Newcastle, Bonnie Williamson and husband Robert of Oklahoma City and Dwane Brittain, Jr. and wife Virginia of Pasco, Washington; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother, Anthony Bowdler and wife Sue of Oklahoma City; sister, Vera Ramsey of Carlsbad, New Mexico; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Integrity Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Betty's grandsons, Walter Whitehead, Ray Simmons, Josh Schultz, Eddie Williams, Ryne Whitehead, and Jacob Whitehead.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
