Police say a medical condition may have been responsible for an Arkansas man crashing into the Hungry Traveler restaurant building Tuesday night.
Police Chief Steve Norman said Wednesday the 43-year-old pickup driver had pulled off Interstate 40 to rest but doesn't remember what happened after he got to the exit.
The truck, a 2006 Dodge, was approaching the Super 8 Motel when it suddenly swerved to the right, crossing a parking lot then crashed through a wall at the closed restaurant.
The driver was given a field sobriety test at the scene but passed that. He refused medical treatment.
The truck crashed through a wall and came to rest completely inside the building.
No charges have been filed.
