A Henryetta man is facing felony child porn charges.
William GranthamWilliam Grantham, 28, was arrested Monday ending an investigation by the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office that lasted several months. He is charged with Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography and Violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
According to sheriff’s investigator Duston Todd, the case originated in May of 2021 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) forwarded a cyber tip they received from an electronic service provider that resulted in an investigation leading to a felony arrest warrant being issued for Grantham.
The investigation revealed NCMEC associated multiple cyber tips and over 100 images of child pornography to Grantham.
Grantham was tracked to a residence in Tahlequah where the Tahlequah Police Department was able to locate and arrest him on the felony warrant. He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center and is pending transfer back to Okmulgee County where he will be held on a $250,000 bond.
The Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit and the Henryetta Police Department.
