The Henryetta Knight Brigade band made their presence known at the Konowa Band Day parade and field competition Saturday. When the judging was finished, first place trophies for parade, drumlins, and auxiliary were awarded to the HHS musicians. They also received the second place trophy for showmanship.
“I’m proud of the work our band members put into getting ready for this competition,” said band director Alan Montgomery. “They came ready to win and we did that.”
Making up the Knight brigade are: Drum Major: Kyla Gracia; Flutes: Allison DeVore, Katie Davis, Gracee Rogers, Breea Stockholm and Erin Chew.
Clarinets: Kasidy Fry, Stephen Gouge, Destiny Cabrera, Michael Ray and Ray Cummings.
Tenor Sax: Phillip Ray; Trumpets: Xander Lollis, lucas Thompson, Thomas Deer, Chris Hodge, Damian Donathon, Kelsie Sadler, Laura McConnell and Noah Huckabay.
Trombone: Nick Crow; Bass Guitar: Addy Chavez; Percussion: Wyatt VanMeter, Dax Sanders, Caveryn Foster, James George, Timmothy Brooks and Braden Lollis.
Color Guard: Hulleah Wincle, Rylee White, Lena White and Madelyn Austin; Wagon puller LaRaya Williams; Banner Carriers: Alli Davis and Halie Lewis.
