John Dewey Jackson, a resident of Beggs, died June 17,2015 in Tulsa at the age of 64.  He was born July 14, 1950 in Portland, Indiana to the late Herman and Barbara (Price) Jackson.  He met Lavone Holland while residing in California and they married Jan. 25, 1969 in Neosho, Missouri.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Douglas Jackson and a daughter, Kelly Ann Six.  ‚Ä®Survivors include his wife, Lavone Jackson, of the home; daughters, Shelly Flanary and husband Clayton of Henryetta and Crystal Ross and husband Charles Brett of Beggs; a son, Jonathan Jackson and wife Kerri of Kellyville; a son-in-law, Matthew Six and wife Amy of Liberty Mounds; sisters, Barbara Ann Pilgrim and Betty Jean Holland and husband Floyd, all of Manning, Ark., and Linda Kay Hartgrave of Rogers, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Norma Wilkerson of Okmulgee, Sharon Rucker and husband Jerry of Sparkman, Ark., and Dorthy Standlee of Neosho, Missouri, a brother-in-law, Dewayne Holland and wife Vicky of Rogers; 13 grandchidlren: Benjamin Six and wife Amanda, Lauren Flanary, Allyson Flanary, Garrett Flanary, Rachel Six, Rachel Jackson, Haylee Ross, Destiny Jackson, Gracie Jackson, Alyssa Ross, Addison Ross and McKenna Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Henryetta Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Charles McDaniel and Pastor Michael Meeks officiating.  
Interment will follow in the Huckaby-Perryman Cemetery. ‚Ä®Casketbearers will be Benjamin Six, Garrett Flanary, Justin Jackson, Johnny Jackson, Marion Holland, Melvin Holland and Ricky Holland.  Honorary casketbearers will be Sergeant First Class, James Douglas Jackson and Jimmy Jackson.  ‚Ä®Friends may visit the funeral home Friday, June 19 from 2 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Huckaby-Perryman Cemetery in John's name.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
