January’s sales tax report from the state made it the sixth consecutive month that Henryetta has been in the plus column.
The town received $294,650 in sales tax revenue this month. That was a $56,473 gain from last year.
The January report is based primarily on November 2021 business. In the January report from the Oklahoma Tax Commission,
Henryetta received $55,962 in use tax money, a $6,667 gain from the previous year.
The Okmulgee County treasury deposited a $502,582 sales tax check, up $84,050 from last year.
Around the area, Okmulgee was the big gainer in sales tax money, receiving $716,379. That was up $112,405 from last year.
On the other side, Dewar and Beggs both reported losses in revenue this month. Dewar was down $5,382 and Beggs dropped $7,613.
Statewide, $193,129,239 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $28,947,950.
