The Henryetta boys brought home the third place plaque after an up and down series in the Okmulgee County tournament.
It was the final game between Henryetta and Morris that had the fans on the edge of their seats. The Knights jumped off to a 17-10 lead in the first period but Morris used four successful three-point shots to narrow that down to a single point, 30-29 margin, at the half.
Henryetta came charging back in the third with 15 points while holding the Eagle to eight. It looked as though the Knights would stay comfortably in the lead but Morris’s Zachary Jones pumped in three more three-point goals to narrow down the gap. He would supply seven of those three-pointers during the game.
Jordan Short led the Henryetta scoring with 24 points followed by Alex Hudson with 11 and Josh Osterdock with eight.
