brush fire

Several large plumes of smoke are dotting the horizon around Henryetta as the spring fire season arrives. One fire burned over 10 acres west of town calling out Henryetta and area fire units to keep it from spreading. Fire Chief David Bullard cautioned area residents to be careful if they are burning. "Even though we had a lot of ice and snow last week, the grass and weeds have dried out making them extremely combustible. Any wind will cause the fire to spread quickly." No homes or buildings wre damaged in this fire.
