Henryetta’s Middle School baseball team opened their season Thursday with back to back wins over Roland and Vian.
The young Knights had an 11-0 shutout victory against Roland and took a 6-4 win over Vian.
In the Roland contest, Henryetta put the game away in three innings had 11 runs. Henryetta scored one in the first then added three more runs in the second before blasting their way for the shutout.
W. Perez and H. Howler each had two runs while G. Williams M. Randleman B. Hill, N. Johnson, J. Joslin, B. Morris and N. Henderson all added runs to the board. Bowdler and Johnson did the pitching chores for Henryetta allowing no runs on no hits and only giving up four walks.
Against Vian, Henryetta led 2-0 until the third inning when they added four more runs. Vian picked up four in that closing inning. Both teams posted five hits not he night.
Perez, Williams, Randleman, Hill, Bowdler and Johnson all scored for the Middle School team.
Randleman, Hill and Williams did the pitching for Henryetta allowing only five hits while striking ou three.
