A problem at the Henryetta substation caused a two-hour blackout Wednesday morning that sent over 4,800 homes into the dark.
power offThe issue arose around 2 a.m. and it took Public Service Company line crews over two hours to repair the problem and restore electric service.
PSO officials said the problem was not heat related since the thermometer earlier in the day rose past the century mark.
Power was interrupted throughout Henryetta and reached as far north as Schulter, south to Salem and east past Grayson.
Police and fire crews turned into traffic control officers during the height of the blackout at the intersection of US 75 and 266 and the junction of Main Street and US 75. No accidents were reported.
