Over 200 parents, students and area residents participated in the prayer walk and Back to School Bash in Henryetta Sunday evening. The event was hosted by the Henryetta Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Groups of students and parents split up to hold prayer sessions at each of the school buildings in preparation for the start of the new year this week.
The evening was capped off with a time of fun, fellowship, music and food giving everyone an opportunity to meet new teachers, renew old friendships and relax before the studies commence Thursday.
Monday morning saw the school personnel gather for the annual breakfast followed by meetings between administrators and teachers as they prepare for students to hit the classrooms.
