Soon the clang of metal being assembled will be replaced by music and screams of delight as the annual carnival gets underway.
The Labor Day carnival starts Thursday at 6 p.m. and will run through Monday night.
According to Labor Day chairperson Linda Gerster, the rides will not be held during the day due to the hot weather.
She said $30 bracelets will be available Thursday through Sunday. There be no bracelets sold for the Monday night rides.
All bracelets may be purchased at the carnival.
