Main Street was crowded again as several thousand spectators watched the 2022 edition of the Henryetta Labor Day parade Monday. There were lots of cheering going on as everyone showed their appreciation for the work that went into the floats and decorated cars.
The parade was followed by frogs jumping, turtles racing, youngsters nabbing fish and the Ruby Gooden games that had youngsters showing off their skills in tow sack racing, egg and water balloon tossing and even throwing and kicking.
While that was going on, some adults were doing their own tossing at the Lions Club cornhole tournament held at the high school gym. Contestants from all over the state were on hand to compete in a field that included a couple of state and national champions.
The day ended with the presentation of awards and the annual fireworks display at the football field.
