The polling place for the Morris Community Center has moved, Ashley Carnes, Secretary of the Okmulgee County Election Board, announced today.
In the past, voters in Precinct 560026 vast their ballots at the Morris Community Center.
“Effective immediately, the new polling place will be the Trinity Baptist Church, 830 W. Ozark Street in Morris. The first election held at the new location will be the General Election scheduled for November 8, 2022.
Caries said the change was made because the voting area at the Morris Community Center is in a small meeting room with limited space, which makes it difficult to allow more than three voters at a time.
Trinity Baptist Church has allowed its facility to become the new poll location for the community. The voting area will be in the large fellowship hall. “This move will shorten the wait time.”
