A foot chase across Interstate 40 ended with a robbery suspect being Tased and placed under arrest by Henryetta police.
The robber, identified as Gary Hubbs, is alleged to have robbed the Dollar General Store in Henryetta. Police say he is believed to have threatened store employees with a knife during the robbery.
Police chief Steve Norman said a suspect matching the robber's description was seen in the south part of Henryetta and officers started chasing him.
The fugitive climbed over a fence on I-40 then ran across both sets of traffic lanes.
He was apprehended in a wooded area on the south side of the interstate by officer Joey Cantrell.
After being handcuffed, the 32-year-old man was examined by Henryetta EMS then turned over to officers. He was placed into custody in the Henryetta police department waiting to be transferred to the Okmulgee County jail.
