This month the town received $292,483.61 from the state, a slight increase over the $291,097.93 last October.
Those dollars are based on sales from August 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Sept. 1 to 15.
By contrast, the use tax return to Henryetta was the biggest in the past four months. It amounted to $40,743 for October, a gain of $6,767 from a year ago.
Most towns around the area reported increases in sales during that period although Checotah and Okemah reported declines.
Dewar received $16,753, up from the $15,045 a year ago.
Across the state, $199,464,333 in sales tax collections were returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $15,424,442 from the $184,039,891 distributed to the cities and towns in October last year.
