Michael Frank Kafer, a resident of Hobart, died Nov. 3, 2022 in Purcell at the age of 74. He was born Aug. 25, 1948 in Orange, Tex., to Frank Kafer and Mazetta Kafer.
Mike served in the US Army during the Vietnam war.
He was married to Carol Warren Dec. 27, 1979 in McAlester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two great grandchildren, Raelynn Stanton and Brynlee Stanton, his in-laws, Bill and Jawell Warren, brother, Jimmy Kafer.
Michael is survived by his wife, Carol Kafer of the home; three daughters: Teresa Summers and husband Bobby of Nowata, Kelly Grippando and husband Jeff of Sand Springs and Beth Stanton and husband Micky of Schulter; grandchildren: Lacy Banks and husband David, Mattie Taylor and husband Aaron, Angelo Grippando and wife Eimly, Dominic Grippando, Carmine Grippando and wife Taylor, Bryttanie Phillips and husband Matt, Micky Stanton Jr. and wife Courtney, Lexi Stanton, Michael Stanton, Nezzie Stanton, and Bentley Barber; great grandchildren: Jake Banks, Micky "Mick Mick" Stanton III, Bronson Stanton, Victor "Pete" Phillips, Ryder Phillips, Maddie Huls, Lynnlee Hulse, and Ivy Calvert; sister-in-law, Nellie Bullard; brother-in-law, Billy Warren and wife Diane; special cousin, Darlene Ray, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. James Page, officiating. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson community. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Micky Stanton Jr., Angelo Grippando, Dominic Grippando, Carmine Grippando, David Banks, and Aaron Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bernard Crawford, Robert Sutterfield, Craig Skidmore, Jimmy Matthews, Marvin Sanders, Michael Stanton, Micky Stanton, Bobby Summers, Jeff Grippando, Bently Barber and his brothers from local 798 Pipeliners.
