There will be two new faces at the Okmulgee County Courthouse next year.
Michael Wallace will be the new District Three County Commissioner and Lindsay Bunch will take the county treasurer’s seat.
They were the local winners once all the ballots were counted Tuesday night in an election that saw Republican Party candidates get the majority of votes.
Artussee, the democratic incumbent, received 1,540 votes while Wallace picked up 1,916. Wallace carried both the early voting and Election Day balloting.
Bunch, also a republican, received 6,037 or 57 percent of the votes compared to 4,535 for Lampkins.
The election turnout was heavy throughout the county with a lengthy ballot facing voters.
Local results saw Kevin Stitt get the majority of votes for governor. He received 6,179 compared to 4,177 for Joy Hofmeister, 143 for Natalie Bruno and 119 for Ervin Stone Yen.
Incumbent Matt Pinnell won handily locally with 6,963 votes compared to 3,215 for democrat Melinda Alizadeh-Fard and libertarian Chris Powell.
The controversial state superintendent race went to Ryan Walters with 6,238 against 4,328 for Jena Nelson.
National office voting saw James Lankford easily win his U.S. Senate seat with 6,966 votes. Democrat Madison Horn had 3,240 while Michael Delaney received 203 and Kenneth Blevins 193.
Markwayne Mullin was the county favorite for the U.S. Senate unexpired seat left by Jim Inhofe. Mullin had 6,872 votes compared to 3,434 for Kendra Horn, 158 for Ray Woods and 143 for Ray Murphy.
Both Lankford and Mullin easily won their seats by the time all the votes in the district were counted.
