Aaron Lee Rasmussen, died Nov. 20, 2022 at the age of 68. Aaron was born Jan. 23, 1954 in Hays, Kansas to Dick Rasmussen and Alena (Freeman) Rasmussen. He married Diane (Gibson) Rasmussen Sept. 16, 1979in Wilson, Kansas and together they raised two daughters. He later married Dawn (Crone) Rasmussen May 27, 2009 in Hot Springs, Arkansas and remained married until her passing in 2020. On Aug. 12, 2022, he married Bobby Sue (Rose) Rasmussen in Eufaula.
Aaron grew up in Plainville and Wilson, Kansas. Aaron was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sept. 12, 1981 in Hays. He remained an active member until his passing, serving in numerous callings with the youth, the Elders Quorum, and as a counselor in a Bishopric. Aaron worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kansas as a facilities maintenance worker.
He is survived by his wife Bobby Sue Rasmussen; daughters; Michelle Rasmussen of Arvada, Colo., and Jennifer (Adam) Manges of Lehi, Utah; grandchildren: Caden Rasmussen and Kyle Hedenskog of Arvada, Caleb, Kendyle, Clyde, and Keith Manges of Lehi, and Tegan, Madison, and Kaia Crone of McAlester; brother Richard (Denise) Rasmussen of Salina, Kansas; step-sons; Jeromy Crone of McAlester and Kelly Rose of Henryetta along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Gaynell Elliott, and his paternal and maternal grandparents, Edward and Nellie Rasmussen, and Gordon and Ruth Freeman.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 600 North 6th Street, Eufaula. Burial will follow in the Lenna Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 E Trudgeon Street, Henryetta.
