Dorisola (Goad) Peters, a resident of rural Henryetta, died Nov. 27, 2022 at her home. She was born Sept. 12, 1925 in Wekiowa, Okla., to Jesse Lee Goad and Linnie Lee (Noble) Goad.
She married Leon H. Peters Jan. 20, 1943 in Dewar. She was a former member of Gospel Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Linnie Goad; her husband Leon Peters; two sons, Steven Peters and Herbert Peters; a foster son, Kenneth Stump; three grandsons, Buddy Hughes, Albert Peters and Loyd Peters; a son in law, Jim Thompson; two brothers, J. N. Goad and Delbert Goad; a great grandson, Blake Hughes; two sisters in law, Rose Goad and Alice Goad, and one grandson in law, Charles Sharpe.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Peters and wife Veronica of Haskell; three daughters, Janice Hughes and husband Ernest of the home, Elizabeth Peters of the home and best friend Carol Ward, Checotah, Jeannette Thompson of Coweta; foster son, Jerry Stump and wife Carrie; two daughters in law, Susie Brown & husband Bill of Porter and Faye Stump Anglin of Cleveland; brother, B. W. (John) Goad of Claremore; sisters, Angie Sams of Arcadia and Imogene Drake of Tulsa; sister in law, Dorothy Goad of Jenks; 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 21 great great granchildren; she will also be missed by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Dorisola will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Michael Peters, Michael Hughes, Jefferson Peters, Quincy Hughes, Colby Peters, Wesley Thompson, James Stump and Doug Hawkins.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at the Chapel at Morris Cemetery, Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
