Minnie Ruth Proctor, a resident of Dewar, died Dec. 26, 2022 in Tulsa at the age of 71. She was born April 16, 1951 in Claremore to Jackson Bruner and Rosie Mae (Fry) Bruner.
She worked as a MVSOKE Language Teacher. She married Bill Freeman Proctor Oct. 12, 1971 in Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Bruner and Rosie Mae (Fry) Bruner, sisters; Patsy Frank and Ella "Chick" Hill.
Minnie is survived by her husband, Bill Proctor of the home; sons, Brian Proctor and wife Shannon of Checotah, and Byron Proctor and wife Jwainna of Dewar; daughter, Billie Proctor and Paul Harjochee of Henryetta; sisters, Nellie Lasley, Linda Bruner and Wand Bruner of Henryetta and Emma Wind of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Lena Proctor of Dustin; grandchildren: Marissa, Dayton, Allison, Nakea, SaRae, Madison, Aliyah, Kristen, Bryanna, Jayden, Jaxton, Isiah, and Nathan; five great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Wake Services are scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church in rural Henryetta.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 30, 2022 at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Gambler and Rev. Mitchell Taylor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Yardeka Indian Baptist Church Cemetery. Services are under the care of Integrity Funeral Service.
