Henryetta resident Dan Artussee was seriously injured in a crash early Thursday morning on Interstate 40.
According to the Oklahoma highway Patrol, Artussee was driving one of three vehicles involved in a crash about 11 miles east of Okemah.
The OHP said the accident around 6:30, happened when a 1999 Dodge pickup driving by Zachary Bowen, 25, Edmond, was westbound on I-40 and struck the 2008 Chevrolet pickup driven by Artussee. Trooper Dion Wild said Artussee pickup was disabled from a previous accident and was in in the outside lane of traffic.
The OHP report said artussee had exited his pickup and was struck by the Dodge.
Artussee was taken by Air Evac to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa for treatment of injuries. He was said to be in stable condition.
