Melba Snider, a current resident of Edmond, and longtime resident of Okmulgee County died Jan. 30, 2023 in Edmond. Se was born Feb. 12, 1934 in the Wilson Community to Dallas Clint and Bertha Lee (Tidwell) Bicknell.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald Dwight Snider; parents Dallas Clint Bicknell and Bertha Lee Tidwell Bicknell; four sisters, Virginia Matthews, Mildred Burgess, Delores Chance, and Sue Dean, parents-in-law, Wilbur Clyde Snider and Ella C. Collins Snider; her husband’s two sisters, Laudra Powders and Audra Ross; her husband’s three brothers, Prentiss Snider, Gene Snider, and EJ Snider
She is survived by: daughter Dawni Delene Brison and her husband, Ronnie; son Donald Dwight Snider II also known as Mick and his wife, Teresa; two grandsons, Ronnie Wayne Brison II and his wife, Amber
Jared Brandon Snider and his wife, Lindsey; four great-grandsons: Jentry Brison, James Brison, Jeron Brison, and Jackson Snider; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Snider; sister, Kerry Dawn Lierly and her husband, Joe Bill; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends
Pallbearers are Joe Bill Lierly, Ronnie Wayne Brison II, Jentry Brison, James Brison, Jeron Brison, Jackson Snider, and Jared Snider
Honorary pallbearers are her nephews.
Melba and Dwight were part of the Henryetta Church of the Nazarene Family. She was a homemaker a housekeeper, worked in the public school system.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 at the Nazarene Church. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
