Henryetta made up some ground in sales tax monies from the state Tax Commission February distribution.
This month the city received $311,107.90, a $24,399 increase from a year ago.
That took care of the January and December combined losses of $10,704. The February money is based on December sales.
At the same time, the town received $48,572 in use tax monies, a $2,659 increase from a year ago.
Around the area, Dewar, Okemah, Beggs and Morris received less than a year ago while Okmulgee, Weleetka, Checotah and Eufaula all reported gains.
The sales tax return to Okmulgee County had a $32,188 gain from last year with $532,726 sent to the county treasurer this month. That was the first time in the past four months the county received more than the previous year.
Statewide, $203,126,030 in sales tax collections came back to cities and towns and reflected an increase of $6,350,912 from the $196,775,118 last year.
