A day of softball Saturday brought a lot of area softball players back together and wound up in exciting fashion with Henryetta winning the alumni championship.
Henryetta went through the brackets with wins over Okmulgee and Beggs then get into a hitting match with Dewar in the final contest.
It looked like Henryetta would be the winner then Cheyenne Petrovick tied it up at 8-8 in the sixth inning with a single on loaded bases.
A two run homer by Noe Corbin put Dewar ahead 10-8 followed by Skyler Randall loading the bases with two outs. No one else could score giving Henryetta one more chance with the game clock sitting at zero.
Kim Hage and Kaitlynn Dwiggins both walked then Jaylynn Joslin hit a single to load up the bases. Kasedi Gobin got a two run double that tied it up at 10-all.
HHS alum Mykaela Castelano provided the winning hit with a grounder to left field that brought Dwiggins home for the 11-10 victory.
