Henryetta school board members were able to take care of three-fourths of their hiring plans Monday night.
The board held a special meeting to fill several coaching and teaching positions but one of those slots was left open.
Following a nearly 30-minute executive session, the board hired William George as high school girls basketball coach, Sherry Freeman as high school girls softball coach and Nadine Graham to be the middle school physical education teacher.
Left open was a teacher for government and Oklahoma history as well as an assistant for high school football, middle school girls softball and high school and middle school girls basketball.
That slot was unfilled after superintendent Dwayne Noble told the board an applicant had withdrawn his application after finding another job. The school will continue to advertise for the position.
Board members will hold their regularly-scheduled August meeting next Monday. Four of the five board members were on hand for the meeting. Absent was board member James Cox.
