Rebecca Darlene Scully Collett, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died Sept. 10 2015 at her home in Henryetta at the age of 60. Rebecca was born July 4, 1955 in Henryetta to Sam Harold Scully and Juanita Corbin Scully.
She grew up in the Coalton community and attended Schulter Public Schools. She graduated from Schulter High School in 1973. Following graduation she worked at Braum's in Sand Springs and in Okmulgee for several years. Rebecca met the love of her life, Carl Anthony "Tony" Collett and they married in Coalton Nov. 24, 1977. They remained happily married for 38 years. In the years following school, Rebecca had an active role in managing the Collett family's hotel and restaurant holdings in this area. She was active for many years in her church serving as a Past President and active member of the LDS Relief Society.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her son, Donny Collett and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.
She is survived by her husband Tony of the home; a son, Adam Collett of Henryetta; three grandchildren, Shaun Nibarger of Henryetta, Gabriel Collett of Henryetta and Olivia Collett of Henryetta; her parents, Sam and Juanita Scully of Coalton; a sister, Sammie Dixson and husband Tom of Inola; a brother, Eddie Scully of Inola; a brother, John Scully and wife Shanea of Oklahoma City; three nieces, Ashley Scully and Kaithlyn Scully of Oklahoma City and Katelynsam Dixon of Inola; a mother-in-law, Rebekah E. Collett of Henryetta; by other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing for Rebecca will be held at Integrity Funeral Service Sunday, September 13, 2015 from noon until 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Henryetta with Tony Gustin officiating. Interment will follow the service immediately at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Adam Collett, Shawn Nibarger, Eddie Scully, John Scully, Tom Dixon, September Steve Norman. Honorary pallbearers will be Gabriel Collett, Jonas Collett, and Brian Collett.
