The Henryetta basketball teams get back in action starting Jan 6 when they host the annual HHS Invitational tournament.
Opening the week-long event will be the Lady Knights against the Lady Outlaws from Weleetka at 5 p.m. Later that evening, the HHS boys will be pitted against the Wilburton Diggers at 9 p.m.
Also Monday night will be the Savanna and Weleetka boys at 6:30 and the Wilburton and Savanna girls at 7:40.
Tuesdday night will start with the Keifer and Okmulgee girls at 5 followed by the Keifer and Eufaula boys then the Eufaula and metro Christian girls and wrapping up with Okmulgee's Bulldogs playing Metro Christian.
The Henryetta teams will be trying to make up for last year when they came away with second place trophies. The HHS girls lost to Eufaula after a disappointing second half championship matchup while the Knights were defeated by the Weleetka Outlaws.
