MG 9864 The HHS Knights were not going to let the Okmulgee Bulldogs have a chance for a trophy Thursday when they dealt a 78-39 loss to their neighbors to the north.
Playing in the semifinals of the Henryetta Invitational, the Knights dominated the area under the basket with a 21-13 lead at the end of the first quarter then doubled that to a 34-17 margin at the halftime break.
Senior Chet Caywood had his best night of the week when he picked up 34 points, a dozen of them from outside the three-point arch. He nailed eight under the bucket and went three for three from the free throw line.
Riley Berry helped cinch the win with 11 points, hitting seven of eight free throws. He was followed by Heath Konsure with eight, Ira Blackbear dropping in a pair of three-pointers for six, Tyler Johnson getting five and Kiley Johnson sinking three.
