Some 30 family members, friends and former students watched Saturday as Henryetta coach Kent Lackey was inducted into the Oklahoma Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame.
The event at Quail Creek Country Club in Oklahoma City, marked the third time a Henryetta coach has been recognized by the state organization.
Lackey, a Henryetta high school graduate, started out as a junior high tennis coach then took over as high school coach when Mark Milligan vacated that position.
He has been a coach in several different sports for 29 years in Henryetta and is now the science teacher at Henryetta middle school.
