Okmulgee County voters turned down the controversial State Question 805 by a nearly two to one margin Tuesday.
The issue would have prevented prior arrests from being considered in criminal sentencing.
Only two of the county's 24 precincts voted in favor of the question while the rest overwhelmingly rejected it. with a total vote of 9,463 against and 4,510 in favor.
SQ 814 that would have allowed some funds from the Tobacco Settlement Trust to be used by the legislature was also defeated with 8,297 opposed and 5,470 in favor.
