Around 1 a.m. Tuesday a six-inch water line burst on north Ninth sStreet sending a geyser of water and dirt some 30 feet into the air. City water crews were close by the scene of the break and were able to make repairs within a couple of hours. The Henryetta water department workers have been putting in long hours chasing down leaks and restoring water to he town. As of Tuesday morning, rural water departments who purchase Henryetta water are also starting to get their lines running again. Water breaks from the extreme cold are said to be plentiful throughout the area and normal service is not expected to be restored for several weeks.
